June 30 Florida Bans Hallucenogenic SalviaAmong new laws going into effect in Florida on July 1, 2008 is a ban on the sale of a hallucinogenic drug Salvia divinorum. The state legislature passed a bill making possession of Salvia a third-degree felony, with a punishment of up to five years in jail and a fine of $5,000.

Why is Trent Reznor making his music free to anyone with Internet access? When I was a teenager, I had to save money to buy a not so compact disk. There was no free lunch or free music. Now, there is a new music economy.

My first job was working on Saturdays at a drug store when I was about thirteen or fourteen. I pretty much enjoyed it. I remember as it got later in the evening, young men would come in asking for bizarre things, such as "Kaywoodies" and "Moon Bloomers," both of which meant condoms. I'm still trying to work that into a story.
